Since the event began, the Boodles Tennis has welcomed tennis stars including Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras and Rafael Nadal. The stadium is designed so that no seat is further than 10 metres from the grass court itself which allows spectators to feel real involvement and a true sense of the speed and power of the shots, as well as a chance to chat with the world-renowned players! 2023 saw the tournament return better than ever, with players all in the top 25 rank in the world appearing on court.
The five-day tennis exhibition is situated in the beautiful grounds of Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire and is held the week before Wimbledon, giving guests the opportunity to watch some of the world’s top tennis players as they have the opportunity warm up on grass courts for the iconic British championship, whilst enjoying the finest cuisine and idyllic surroundings.
The New York Times described the event as ‘unlike nearly anything else on the tennis calendar – a Gatsby-like few days on an estate outside London’.
The tournament has a different feel to other tennis events throughout the year, offering players a more relaxed feel – so much so that prior to the 2023 event, Director of Boodles, Michael Wainwright, joined Sebastian Korda and his coach for a round of golf!
