The Green Mamba

Green mambas are surprisingly shy: they like to keep themselves to themselves, preferring to stay hidden in jungle foliage rather than seeking the spotlight. Ours love to coil around opals – and have sparkling heads, set with tsavorites and diamonds.

The Green Mamba Rings

Enticing black opals of 5.20 and 1.74 carats (top and bottom rings respectively) are wrapped by sinuous yellow gold snakes set with brilliant cut tsavorites and diamonds

“Detail is very important to our designs at Boodles, and when it comes to The Green Mamba pieces, the detail is immense. On the back of the necklace, the goldwork is all pierced out to reflect the same scaled pattern; the back of the head has also been set with tsavorite, and everything about it has been considered, even down to the modelling on the mamba’s head.”

Rebecca Hawkins, Boodles Director of design

Around Africa in 10 Days

In October 2024, Boodles President Nicholas Wainwright and his niece Honour set off on an unforgettable adventure across Africa, a journey that would become the beating heart of our latest High Jewellery collection. From boarding the Blue Train in South Africa to soaring over the Maasai Mara in a hot air balloon, they travelled in search of extraordinary gemstones, design inspiration and a little Boodles magic. Along the way, they met craftspeople, visited communities supported by our charity partner Just a Drop, and immersed themselves in the colours, culture and wildlife of this remarkable continent. Join us as we retrace their footsteps and discover the stories behind the jewels.

Behind The Design
