Climate Action

We believe in a holistic approach to ensuring sustainable operations, particularly in
the area of climate impact. We are very conscious of our carbon footprint as a
business and in our supply chain. With this in mind, we have examined every
component of the Boodles brand, from our packaging and printing to the use of
energy and logistics. We have made meaningful changes to all of these areas and
are always looking for ways in which we can enhance our operations.

Carbon Accounting

We work with climate experts to actively calculate and mitigate our carbon impact for Scopes 1, 2 and 3. We are proud to have transitioned our carbon accounting from a spend-based approach to a more activity-based approach for our Scope 3 calculations, providing a far more accurate assessment of our emissions.

We have made considerable progress in the last two years and are in the process of establishing concrete reduction targets and implementing more tangible methods to achieve these goals.

Since 2024, all Boodles-owned showrooms and our office locations, are powered by renewable electricity contracts. We are consistently investigating ways in which we can reduce our energy usage across the business.

Packaging & printing

Our use of packaging and paper was fundamentally reviewed in 2017, with substantial further changes in 2025. All of our bags, ecommerce packaging and brochures now use fully recyclable, FSC certified paper.

We have introduced luxury pouches made from recycled materials. Metal and cardboard components have been reduced to a minimum, lowering weight and reducing production emissions on average by 65% per unit, while also decreasing CO₂e associated with shipping. With time, we hope to move away from traditional boxes to this more sustainable packaging option.

Transport & Logistics

We recognise that transport logistics and shipping are a critical part of our business,
and that truly green, net zero shipping remains some way off. As a step forward,
however, we have partnered with a B Corp certified freight broker that offsets
shipping emissions and an additional 2.5 times those emissions through UN-certified projects. Starting this year, they are our preferred freight partner across all stores, allowing us to enhance the positive environmental impact of our logistics.

Internal Efforts

During renovations within our Sloane Street showroom, we opted to create a large wall using repurposed wood in our Garden Room. This wood originated from an oak tree, which was initially planted over 300 years ago and then felled as part of a major UK infrastructure project, meaning it has been entirely sustainably sourced. It was subsequently used by garden designer Tom Hoblyn and sculptor Jan Hendzel for the Boodles Secret Garden at the Chelsea Flower show in 2021. We like to think the tree has now entered its ‘third life’ at Boodles Sloane Street, only a few miles from where it was initially planted!
