Raindance Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025

This year, Boodles’ Chelsea Flower Show garden is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of our Raindance collection, taking inspiration from the movement of raindrops and the intricate patterns reflected in its design. Named the Boodles Raindance Garden, the garden is a reimagination of the iconic collection that has been so integral to Boodles as a brand. It seemed fitting for our garden this year to be inspired by the very collection that was, in turn, inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show itself — and led to the creation of one of our most iconic and beloved designs.

" We are thrilled to be returning to RHS Chelsea to commemorate the 25th anniversary of our beloved Raindance Collection. We are working once again with designer Catherine MacDonald and it seems a fitting tribute that we create a garden honouring Raindance at the very flower show that first inspired its creation.”

Meet the designer

Principal designer at Landform Consultants, Catherine MacDonald, is designing the Boodles Raindance Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the famous jewellery collection. The planting palette is predominantly green with soft accents of white and pale pink, reflecting the rare diamonds of the jewellery.

The textural foliage of ferns provides evergreen visual interest, and their fractal patterns have been linked to a positive impact on the cerebral cortex - reducing stress and enhancing creativity. This will be Catherine’s second show garden for Boodles and her seventh RHS Chelsea garden, following the Boodles National Gallery Garden for Chelsea 2024.

Sparkling like raindrops in the sun

The creative vision for the garden draws heavily on the styles and motifs of the collection. Circular paving pads, featuring etched concentric circles, lead the visitor to a platinum-coloured Raindance pavilion, complete with a domed roof that channels rainwater to a circular rill at its base. Three circular platinum-finished water features, arranged in a diamond bezel configuration, complement the pavilion and are reminiscent of the collection.

Inspiration and craftsmanship

It was during a visit to the quintessentially British Chelsea Flower Show twenty-five years ago that Boodles’ Director of Design, Rebecca Hawkins, was captivated by the play of light on the raindrops she saw. Inspired by this enchanting spectacle, she designed the Raindance collection - a platinum- set collection reminiscent of sprinkled raindrops glistening in the sun. Twenty-five years later, almost to the day, Boodles’ garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show is named the Boodles Raindance Garden, inspired by the collection’s design. It is fitting that Raindance has now been reimagined in a garden setting in the very location where Rebecca first found her inspiration.

Looking back at RHS 2024 : The Boodles NG200 Garden

Boodles was delighted that Catherine MacDonald designed ‘The Boodles NG200 Garden’ at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with the garden being a celebration of The National Gallery’s Bicentenary. The collection was also inspired by paintings in the Gallery, which weaves the narrative together. The pieces were displayed for the first time at Chelsea Flower Show and visitors were able to see the collection alongside the garden on the Boodles tradestand.
