“I feel very lucky to work with my family, and to be a part of Boodles. We all agree on the potential for our company and have a clear vision of the future; it is now down to all of us to take it there. Every day brings exciting new challenges.”
James Amos joined Boodles 10 years ago and following a number of years managing the Harrods boutique, and then the Dublin shop, he has now established himself in his role as Marketing Director for the company.
“To sum up the Boodles brand, I would mention its Britishness, its dedication to being design-led, the passion and commitment of the staff, and the emotion of the business itself. We are very lucky to be working in an environment where we meet people at some of the happiest times in their lives.”
Recently becoming a father has increased James’ emotional attachment to the company; “My role as one of the guardians of the business has become even clearer since the arrival of my twin boys.”
Some of James’ earliest childhood memories include helping his Grandfather sort diamonds and rubies in his office, and spending time in the design department drawing his own fine jewellery creations under the somewhat misguided belief that these would appear in the Boodles brochures of the future.
